Education Committee
To Promote awareness of the solid educational background needed for real estate career success and the continuing education required in the ever-changing industry: to provide local educational programs with quality instructors and to provide support for the REALTORS Institute program, as well as the educational and designation programs offered by NAR, It’s societies, Institutes and Councils.
Finance Committee
To prepare the Board’s annual budget for presentation to, and approval of, the Board of Directors; the budget shall ensure that the goals and prioritized objectives of the Board are met to adequetely support a well-rounded program of services and activities for the membership.
Legislative/Political Affairs/ RPAC Commitee
The Legeslative Committee shall develop strategies and activities for the successful monitoring and attendant grassroots action on legistlative, regulatory and political issues and/or activity. The committee is also responsible for the annual raising of funds for RPAC.
MLS Committee
To orderly correlate and disseminate listing information among the Participants so that they may better serve their clients and the public. In compliance with the established poilcy regarding MLS By-Laws and Rules & Regulations, receive and approval by the National Association. Implement the Multiple Listing Service software. A majority of the committee shall be participants in the MLS, and those participants shall serve two year terms.
Program Committee
The Program Committee is responsible for all monthly general membership meetings. The Committee establises the location, date and time s of the meetings and arranges all speakers subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
Hospitality/Public Relations Committee
To develop realistic programs and projects to reinforce public awareness and respect for REALTORS as an influential organization in the community.
Affiliate Committee
To offer affiliates and REALTORS® the opportunity to meet and discuss projects that can mutually benefit all members. Assist the Education Committee in support of continuing education, assist the Hospitality/Public Relations Committee in organizing social events, philanthropic projects and community awareness programs, and provide education on affiliate related topics.
Building/Grounds Committee
To identify needs for Stillwater Board of Realtors® office and grounds and identify financially reasonable ways to provide for items identified.
Advertising/Communication/Technology Committee
To increase awareness of what the R® represents as well as manage communication to the public and membership of SBOR purpose and activities.
Habitat for Humanity Committee
To Promote and support the Habitat for Humanity projects.
Harvest II Committee
To promote and support the Harvest II Community Food Drive and the local agencies that it supports.
Professional Standards Committee
To educate members about their responsibilities to comply with the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors and their obligation to arbitrate disputes, as well as the obligation in the enforcement of the code; to inform members of amendments to the Code and to the Code of Ethics and Arbitration manual as amended from time to time; to provide training for committee members on the procedures for conducting appropriate hearings and making decisions on appropriate sanctions when required by of either ethics complaints or requests for arbitration. Members of the Professional Standards Committee shall be appointed initially in terms of two years subject for reappointment. To serve on the Professional Standars Committee members must agree to attend at least 3 hours of training.
